Job Description
Randstad is looking for an experienced Bindery Operator to work with an growing company on Jacksonville’s Southside for a second or mid shift. The operator sets up and runs the machines that transform loose printed pages into finished, durable items like books, magazines, and brochures. They operate heavy equipment for cutting, folding, stitching, and gluing, while inspecting the final products to ensure they meet exact quality standards.
salary: $18 - $21 per hour
shift: Second
work hours: 11:30 AM - 8 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Calibrating and adjusting large equipment—such as folders, saddle stitchers—to meet specific project measurements.
- Production & Assembly: Running the machinery to cut, fold, collate, staple, stitch, or glue printed materials together.
- Quality Control: Inspecting the product as it runs to ensure pages are in the correct order, margins are perfectly aligned, and bindings are secure.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Clearing paper jams, performing routine mechanical lubrication, and making minor repairs or adjustments when a machine malfunctions.
- Material Handling: Loading heavy paper stock into machines and moving finished boxes.
The essential functions of this role include:
- working in a smoke free environment
