Situated in a smaller community hospital and connected clinics, the Behavioral Health Consultant delivers integrated, same-day support. Right-sized workflows let the Integrated Behavioral Health Specialist provide brief, solution-focused interventions at the point of care. Close proximity to inpatient, ED, and ambulatory services enables the Behavioral Health Counselor to coordinate smooth transitions. Modern telehealth rooms and private consult spaces help the Behavioral Health Consultant serve pediatric and adult populations effectively.
Reporting to the Director of Integrated Behavioral Health, the Behavioral Health Consultant partners with friendly nurses and a diverse care team. Weekly psychiatric case consults and ready access to social work peers support the Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Core duties for the Behavioral Health Consultant include brief CBT/MI interventions, assessments, safety planning, and coordinated follow-up. Additional responsibilities span pediatric skills training, psychoeducation, EHR outcomes tracking, and streamlined referrals to internal and community resources.
