Beyond base salary, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment. At Kodiak, we're on a mission to inspire wilder, wide-open lives by fueling epic days with great food. We're looking for a Temporary Copywriter to join our Creative team and provide leave coverage. You'll help shape messaging that connects with consumers wherever they interact with Kodiak—from digital advertising and CRM campaigns to retailer product pages, Amazon, and Kodiak.com. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure every word reflects our brand voice while supporting business objectives.

What will this position do?

  • Write engaging long- and short-form copy for paid and owned channels, including digital advertising, email marketing, social media, website content, landing pages, and other consumer-facing experiences, while ensuring consistency in brand voice, tone and messaging.
  • Create informative and persuasive copy for Amazon and retailer product pages that help consumers understand what makes Kodiak products unique.
  • Translate creative briefs into effective copy that delivers strategic objectives while maintaining a cohesive brand story.
  • Incorporate feedback quickly and thoughtfully, refining copy to meet evolving business and creative needs.
  • Participate in weekly team planning meetings and proactively communicate project status, timelines, and priorities.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of proven experience as a copywriter, preferably supporting consumer brands in CPG, retail, or digital marketing and having multi-faceted deliverables.
  • A natural storyteller with a passion for creating meaningful, consumer-focused content that inspires action.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt messaging across multiple audiences and platforms.
  • Experience developing high-volume digital content—including email, social media, digital advertising, website copy, and eCommerce assets—with the ability to deliver polished first drafts within 2–3 business days.
  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate strategy into compelling copy that feels fresh while remaining true to Kodiak's brand voice.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with an ownership mindset—you proactively partner with stakeholders, ask thoughtful questions, and work across teams to deliver exceptional creative work.
  • Comfortable receiving and incorporating feedback, with the flexibility to pivot quickly as priorities evolve.

What else do I need to know?

This role is fully remote and offers the following benefits:

  • Medical/dental/vision plans
  • FSA & HSA accounts
  • Eligible to participate in Kodiak’s 401K (after 1,000 logged hours worked)
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Sick Leave
  • Life & ADD Insurance
  • Short Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Mental Health Therapy Benefit & the Calm app
  • Cell Phone & Internet Stipend
  • A company fleet of snowboards and other equipment
  • Free Kodiak Product
  • Casual dress code
